Local Breeding Program
The Hong Kong Guide Dogs Academy's services cover several key areas. Firstly, the Academy promotes a local breeding program, providing a professional environment and resources to increase the supply of guide dogs and animal-assisted intervention dogs in Hong Kong, while continuously enhancing the professional development of breeding, training, and service delivery.

Guide Dog Matching Services
Secondly, the Academy offers free guide dog matching services for the visually impaired, providing them with consultations, dog pairing, assessments, residential training, and follow-up support. Additionally, the Academy organizes seminars on the lifestyles of visually impaired individuals to facilitate better adaptation between users and their guide dogs.

Professional Training
In terms of professional training, the Academy offers training courses for guide dog trainers, puppy raisers, animal-assisted intervention dog handlers, and public education speakers. The curriculum includes specialized technical training for guide dogs and animal-assisted intervention dogs, animal-assisted intervention dog application workshops, and public speaking techniques for guide dog talks.

Public Education & Outreach
The Academy actively promotes public education through various initiatives, such as guided tours showcasing historical buildings and live training demonstrations; school and community talks, where volunteer speakers and guide dog users share their experiences; and interactive experience days, allowing participants to engage directly with guide dogs and animal-assisted intervention dogs while creating meaningful memories.

Public education aims to raise awareness of the value of guide dogs and animal-assisted intervention dogs, promote disability inclusion and a more inclusive society, and foster empathy and compassion for animals among participants.

Animal-Assisted Intervention (AAI)
Animal-Assisted Intervention (AAI) services involve trained animals (dogs) working alongside professional handlers/therapists to conduct goal-oriented therapeutic activities tailored to the needs of participants, aiming to improve their quality of life. The program is long-term and systematic, with regular evaluations and adjustments by professional handlers/therapists.
